Alix Chappell is originally from Seattle, Washington and attended University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Chappell received her early dance education at Allegro Performing Arts Academy in Kent, Washington where she trained for fifteen years. While attending APAA, she was fortunate to work with choreographers such as Tessandra Chavez, Kim Wolfe and Kent Boyd. While at Uarts, under the direction of Donna Faye Burchfield, she has worked with choreographers such as Sidra Bell, Mark Caserta, Courtney Henry and Tommie-Waheed Evans. Chappell trained at the Ailey School Summer Intensive in 2013 in addition to working for dance conventions Hollywood Vibe (2016-2019) and West Coast Dance Explosion (2020-2023).
