Leah M. Friedman is an Arizona-based dancer, creator, and researcher. Originally from Philadelphia, PA, she has performed with Philadanco! The Philadelphia Dance Company, #dbdanceproject, and Waheedworks, and has presented work with KYL/Dancers, Philly FringeArts, and Proteo Media. Leah received much of her formative training at Metropolitan Ballet Academy (in Jenkintown, PA) and at Philadanco!, and has worked with artists like Milton Myers, Christopher Huggins, Rennie Harris, Thang Dao, Daniel Ezralow, Tommie-Waheed Evans, and Dawn Marie Bazemore. Leah is currently a Doctoral Student at Arizona State University studying social impacts of emerging technologies, and thinks a lot about cyborgs/nature/the future.
